Correction: Free Springer texts available online

Edited: My apologies–the free books were for a very limited period and by the time I posted this announcement, the promotion was over! I’m sorry for misleading readers. I’ll keep an eye out for future promotions and make sure to announce them more quickly. In the meantime, here are a few links where you can find free/cheap books (perhaps readers can add suggestions in comments)?

The Synthese Library, pre-2005, is was available online to download, for free. While mostly Western philosophy, two notable Indian philosophy-related texts are available:  Knowing from Words (Matilal/Chakrabarti) and Analytical Philosophy in Comparative Perspective (Matilal/Lal Shaw). J.N. Mohanty’s Logic, Truth, and the Modalities is also available, although it does not deal with Indian philosophy, rather Western phenomenology and logic.
