Journal of Indian Philosophy 45.2 is out.
Asian Philosophy 27.1 contains an article by Roy Perrett on the problem of other minds in Yogācāra Buddhism.
Hegel Bulletin has an article responding to Hegel’s Criticism of Hinduism, largely focused on the problem of subjective freedom. (This is a few months old, but I just noticed it, and it looks interesting.)
Looks like a lot of great stuff to read! Thanks for posting this, Matthew, to help us keep up with the latest goings on in the field.
My pleasure, Ethan!
Relatedly, I’m not sure if it was ever mentioned here, but our own Malcolm Keating has somewhat recently published an article on the literal/nonliteral distinction in Indian philosophy of language in the Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy. https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/literal-nonliteral-india/
thanks for mentioning it, Matthew! Perhaps we could encourage all members to send to one of us their new works each month so that we can be updated about each other’s new articles and books via the blog?
I agree. I know it feels like self-promotion or pride sometimes, but when people alert us to their new work, I like it very much.
Yes, I agree as well. One of the reasons to have a community like this is to be aware of what our fellow scholars are doing.
