3AM interviews about Indian philosophy have moved

As Patrick S. O’Donnell pointed out on a post about an interview with Ramakrishna Bhattacarya at 3AM magazine, the interviews we linked to a while ago are no no longer there. They have moved to 3:16 am.

In addition to the past interviews already mentioned on this blog, since the transition occurred to 3:16 am, you will find new interviews with philosophers & scholars working on Indian philosophy, such as Maria Heim and Elisa Freschi, if you browse the index. I have not checked carefully, so there may be others I have missed.

  1. Forgive me if I take advantage of this post to mention another philosopher specializing in Indic/Indian materialist philosophy whose book I’ve found heads above the available literature to date, namely, Pradeep P. Gokhale’s Cārvāka/Lokāyata: A Philosophical Inquiry (New Delhi: Oxford University Press, 2015). I corresponded with Jonardon Ganeri in his role as a subject editor for the SEP about the possibility of Gokhale authoring an entry on Cārvāka/Lokāyata, so we’ll see what happens. Incidentally, Gokhale is on Academia(dot)edu and has posted a fair number of papers.
