    • Yes, Arindam joined Ashoka in 2023. We also have Justin Holder, who did his PhD under Jan Westerhoff and works on Madhyamaka and Philosophy of Science; Kranti Saran, an analytic philosopher who also works on Buddhism; and Tatyana Kostochka who works on Chinese Buddhist philosophy. The rest of the department are analytic philosophers and we are ranked higher in the QS rankings, for what they are worth, than any other department in Ashoka. We for many years had a Continental Philosopher, Clancy Martin; he has now left to return to the US, but we will replace him in our next round of hiring.
